College Essay Workshop Led by an Ivy League Educated Coach
Christopher Hunt is an Ivy League-educated college essay coach with more than a decade of experience helping students craft compelling personal statements for highly selective colleges and universities.
A step-by-step method for writing a standout college essay
Writing your college essay is daunting. You're supposed to tell a story that's personal but not too personal, impressive but not boastful, creative but still clear — and do it in 650 words or less. Most advice makes it harder, not easier. You get brainstorming exercises, topic lists, and vague encouragement to "be authentic" that leave you with pages of ideas and no clear direction.
This college essay workshop is different. Working one-on-one with more than 700 students over the past decade, I've developed a method that cuts through the confusion. It’s the same process behind more than 1,000 admissions to the Ivy League, Stanford, and other top universities. In this intensive boot camp, you'll learn that method at a fraction of the cost of private coaching.
By the end of the session, you'll know exactly what to write and how to write it. No more staring at a blank page. Just a concrete plan and a first draft you believe in.

What college admissions officers want to learn from your personal statement.

How to identify an essay topic that reveals your character and values.

Ways to structure your story so admissions officers understand you.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from other college essay programs?
+
This isn't a video course or a list of general tips. It's a live, workshop-style experience built around the method I use in private coaching — the same approach behind more than 1,000 admissions to the Ivy League, Stanford, MIT, and other top universities. Ten years of one-on-one sessions have shown me the value of learning in real time, with room to ask questions and apply the lessons as you go.
Is this only for students applying to highly selective schools?
+
Not at all. The method works for any student writing a personal statement, regardless of which schools are on their list. A strong essay matters wherever you're applying.
Do I need to have a topic before I join?
+
No. Finding the right topic is part of what we do in the session. The pre-session questionnaire will help you start gathering material, but you don't need to arrive with a topic in mind.
Can parents attend?
+
Yes. Parents are welcome to watch. The content is designed for students, but many parents find it useful to understand the process alongside their child.
Will this get me all the way to a finished essay?
+
The masterclass takes you from blank page to a strong first draft — with a clear plan, a defined message, and a structure ready to write. Revision and editing are their own skills. I'm developing a separate resource to cover that stage, and everyone who attends this masterclass will receive first access.
Will you review my essay once I write it?
+
I offer a separate essay review service for students who want feedback on their writing. Attending the masterclass doesn't include a personal review, but it will give you the tools to produce a draft worth reviewing.
Can I work with you one-on-one?
+
My availability for private coaching is limited. Attending the masterclass doesn't guarantee access to individual sessions.
Do you cover supplemental essays?
+
This session focuses entirely on the personal statement. I'm developing a separate workshop for supplementals, and everyone who attends this masterclass will receive early access and a discount.
Is the college essay workshop online or in person?
+
The workshop is fully online and runs live on Zoom. You can attend from anywhere with an internet connection. A recording is available for 30 days afterward in case you need to rewatch any section.
How do I sign up and pay for the webinar?
+
Registration and payment both happen on this page. Fill out the short registration form and pay $300 online through the secure checkout. You’ll get a confirmation email, followed by your pre-session workbook and Zoom link.
